In the heart of the Robertson Valley, South Africa

Van Loveren has been in the Retief family since 1937 when Hennie Retief snr acquired the land in the Robertson Valley and named it after Christiena van Loveren, an ancestor of his new bride, Jean van Zyl. From humble beginnings Van Loveren has grown to become South Africa's leading family-owned winery, known for their consistency, award-winning wines as well as innovation.

Book a guided tour through our cellar to see where our wines are made. Tours are during weekdays and include a glass of Cap Classique.

We specialises in thin-crusted, wood-fired pizzas, gourmet burgers and a variety of seasonal chef's specialities. The venue is also available for special events and functions.

Explore the beautiful and historic garden surrounding the winery through a self-guided tour or guided excursion which includes a glass of bubbly.

Enjoy a day along our safe and peaceful Fish Eagle birding route with more than 100 bird species to discover.

We have three mountain bike routes on the ranging from 12km to 23km. These routes ranges from easy scenic routes for families to intermediate difficulty to keep fitter riders occupied for a few hours.

The 7.5 km Fish Eagle hiking trail on our farm offers the ideal way to explore and see some of the Cape's finest fauna and flora. Dogs are welcome to hike with.
